Guided by Science - Transformed by Experience
Investigations of Paranormal Activity, such as those found in Ghost Hunting Shows, begin with the team's empirical observations. Given that cognitive assumptions can distort how one interprets the observations, legitimate Psychical Research addresses those concerns as a distinct discipline based on scientific protocols. I strive to follow legitimate Scientific Method of investigation. I treat my experiences with skepticism and subject them all to consistent, objective standards grounded in scientific methods of determining facts.
While we dream, we astral travel
This is an extraordinary occurrence that I have never encountered before, despite hearing countless stories from psychics, psychologists, and paranormal investigators. I am sharing this experience in the hope of connecting with someone who shares this incredibly rare ability.
In the attached image, you will see a radiant entity that resembles an angel, dove, or fairy. Although the image appears monochrome, the entity is vibrant with colors to me. I discovered that the 18th-century theologian Emanuel Swedenborg also wrote about witnessing similar creatures that he likened to butterflies. However, this is the only reference I have come across that resembles my own experience.
The presence of this entity is accompanied by a female voice conveying loving messages, such as "I love you," "I will never leave you," and "I want to help him." While I perceive the entity as female due to the female voice, there is no concrete evidence directly linking the two. The entity often glides around me, gently touching various body parts.
My ability to perceive such apparitions began with a single entity two years ago, gradually expanding to encompass entire rooms and becoming visible in broad daylight. Despite undergoing extensive testing and observation in a hospital setting, there is no evidence suggesting that these images are generated by my brain. However, capturing an image of what I saw brought a sense of relief. I meticulously document every occurrence and plan to share my findings soon. Additionally, I managed to capture an Electronic Voice Phenomenon (EVP) asking, "Who granted him the ability to see the world?"
I frequently receive calls from individuals who feel frightened after witnessing peculiar orbs on their nanny cams or Ring cameras. While it may be challenging to remain calm in such situations, it is important to understand that these orbs are a normal occurrence and can be found in every household or establishment. If you are currently experiencing this phenomenon, please reach out to me, and together we can address the issue.
Most television shows centered around ghost hunting tend to portray any form of light as negative, rarely highlighting encounters with benevolent spirits or angels. However, the image displayed above captures a Being of Light, possibly an angel, that visits me nightly. This connection began when I was in the hospital, fervently praying for relief from pain, but delving into that story can be saved for another time. Maintaining an open mind when evaluating whether an orb is positive or negative is crucial. In many cases, orbs present around young children are there to provide protection.

The influx of poor-quality evidence and illogical reasoning from amateur ghost hunters is unfortunate for the paranormal field. However, I have encountered critics who are even more problematic. In a Skeptoid podcast, Brian Dunning heavily criticized the Scole Experiments, which were hailed as evidence of physical mediumship in the United Kingdom. Dunning based his arguments on secondhand information about the controls implemented by the team and proceeded to wildly speculate on how easily these controls could be circumvented. To make matters worse, he referred to a book he had only partially read, written by scientists from The Society for Psychical Research who had audited the sessions. In fact, the book explicitly explained the controls that were in place.
Dunning wrote (emphasis added): "The primary control offered by the mediums was their use of luminous wristbands, to show the sitters that their hands were not moving about during the seances. I consulted with Mark Edward, a professional performer of mentalism and seances, who is well-versed in the various tricks used. According to him, luminous wristbands are indeed one of the tricks employed." There are numerous ways in which a medium can manipulate and remove luminous wristbands during a seance. The wristbands used in the Scole Experiments were created and provided by the mediums themselves, and they were never subjected to testing, which is a serious oversight in terms of control by the investigators. Since Mark did not personally attend the Scole Experiment, he could not speculate on what the mediums might have done or how they might have done it.
Indeed, both Edwards and Dunning were not present during the experiment. However, the scientists from the SPR, who were actively involved, clearly documented the controls in The Scole Report on page 43. They wrote, "In notes on our fourth sitting, we recorded that 'a very distinctive ripping noise was made when these armbands were removed.' Later, when sittings were suspended or ended, we asked whether we could take them away in order to examine them more closely, and were immediately handed all eight." This information directly contradicts Dunning's alleged statements or his failure to adhere to ethical reporting standards. It's important to note that Dunning himself referred to this book as his source of information, the same book I am using.
Moving on to another point of contention, Dunning's criticism of the use of complete darkness during the seances and the mediums' refusal to allow night-mode video cameras or light enhancement equipment is misguided. The mediums justified their stance by stating that such equipment would be distracting to the investigators. Dunning compares this to telling a pilot that instruments would distract them from flying, deeming it astoundingly agreeable to the investigators. However, this critique clearly highlights Dunning's lack of qualifications to critique the processes employed in the Scole experiments.
As a former police detective with experience in crime scene investigations and photography, I can attest to the value of ultraviolet photography in revealing latent evidence. Ultraviolet light can unveil invisible stains on surfaces through a process called fluorescence. To capture this evidence effectively, we need to employ an ultraviolet bandpass filter on the camera lens to ensure only ultraviolet light reaches the sensor. Long wavelengths can overpower the ultraviolet light and render the desired information undetectable. Therefore, considering the unknown characteristics of spirit energy, it is reasonable to assume that visible or infrared light may render it invisible.
Dunning's Skeptoid article is rife with conjecture that contradicts the reports from SPR scientists. Some of his suggestions border on the absurd. For instance, there is a video on YouTube featuring an emeritus professor who witnessed the phenomenon and claimed to have captured a small luminous marble in his cupped hands, clearly perceiving its detectable mass. Dunning dismissed this as a trick performed with a laser pen and even refused to view the interview with the professor, dismissing any web-based videos as unacceptable forms of evidence.
It's worth noting that Dunning's refusal to acknowledge other available evidence includes his criminal case for wire fraud, which further raises questions about his credibility in this matter.
In August 2008, eBay filed suit against Dunning, accusing him of defrauding eBay and eBay affiliates in a cookie stuffing scheme for his company, Kessler's Flying Circus. In June 2010, based on the same allegations and following an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, a grand jury indicted Dunning on charges of wire fraud.[25] On April 15, 2013, in the San Jose, California, U.S. District Court, as part of a plea agreement, Dunning pleaded guilty to wire fraud.[26] The eBay civil suit was dismissed in May 2014 after the parties came to an agreement, while Dunning was sentenced in August 2014 to fifteen months in prison because his company received between $200,000 and $400,000 in fraudulent commissions from eBay.[ In a statement on his website, Dunning insists that he is innocent, claiming he only agreed to the settlement because he could not afford to continue the legal battle.
